Ok time to put this group to use. We all know that there are many, many organizations/groups etc... out there that are the enemy of the people. They are part of the Fascist/Capitalist agenda to turn the masses into slaves to the ownership class and strip of of our rights and freedoms. The ones that are out there are of course Dumbshit Bush and gang, the international coorperate elite and the religious right. But there are many more fronts that a global revolution needs to be fought on.
So my question to the group is who are these enemies of the people and why do you feel they are our enemy.

Re: Public Enemy
Mon, December 13, 2004 - 12:01 AMHmmm, interesting question, have to think on that a bit and get back to you. Set up my tribe profile, played around and invited a few friends but now I am just reconnecting as I am coming out of the hole that was graduate school, finishing my thesis in October and graduating. Have to keep my online life small as it is a time suck, not very satisfying and really not good for my RSI.
But, interested in finding ways to connect to like minded folks, particularly in the Bay Area so we can actually meet offline. That is really my interest.
Like to check out some discussion from time time. Seems this tribe thing is really just a "hey, look how fucking cool I am and what I do (or say I do) and what tribes I belong to" then people just go back to their busy lives elsewhere, or is that just me I am talking about (sarcasm, so hard online).

Mon, January 10, 2005 - 11:43 PMContemplating how we are all part of the mess and that our egos are seriously the problem. The human condition-the mind- is insane says Eckhart Tolle, I agree these days. So what do we do about ourselves? Can we really fight the power? Fuck if I know. -

Re: Public Enemy
Tue, January 11, 2005 - 3:18 PMAre we all part of the problem. I don't know about that. The human condition I do agree is part of the problem. The fact that a great part of society all around the planet doesn't think for themselves, doesn't inform themselves and chooses not to accept facts even when they are held up in the light for all to see. Is this insanity, absolutely. However sometimes our egos are the only thing that can keep us driven to do something. The belief we can make a change. We can, despite what seems to be overwhelming odds. The only thing we can do about ourselves is to remain informed, educated and driven.
At this point in history it is no longer a matter of can we fight the powers. That is no longer relevant. We must fight the power elite or become the slave class they want us to be. I for one refuse to be reduced to a number. I will not be human cattle.
We do have a big advantage. We are the gears that make the Capitalist/Fascist machine run. We do the work that the power elite wouldn't do and aren't capible of doing. Then if enough of the gears don't work the right way or simply leave the machine all together the system shuts down and the power ellites' support stucture crumbles beneath them. -

Re: Public Enemy
Thu, January 13, 2005 - 10:39 PMI agree on many points, have thought of this often of course, but, playing devil's advocate-is the only thing to do fight? Will that really help? Can't we look at history, recent also, and see that those who really lead and resist end up dead or in prison? When will people resist? The methods of control are so powerful now, it seems a who new generation is basically on drugs in front of the TV or playing video games or in cyberspace or in jail! If most peolpe do not want to wake up what can we hope for as a society? Sometimes my biggest hope and belief is that this planet is going to lash back big time (disease, disaster, run out of resources) and the system will crash, then there will be some waking up and lots of opportunities. I think preparing for that is better than a futile fighting of the most powerful and vicious Empire that has ever existed. -

Re: Public Enemy
Fri, January 14, 2005 - 3:50 PMHow about a National Strike? Where do you begin? The problem is apart from aviation (which now has its own obvious inherent obstacles) there is no public transport system to speak of (surprise surprise).
Therefore shops, restaurants and fuel stations have to be a viable option.
Okay, the truth is, it is a police state that you live in, this is official, and to be honest you can't win, they have you over a barrel, and there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it, get out while you can...
You have one hope, the children, education, but wait, oh no, even that is being, let us say, tampered with... -
